The requirement of standing in this regard is understandable and a necessity. Unfortunately, it does make navigation of the legal waters a much more hazardous conquest. ### Ensuring the sanctity of inheritance Naturally, one > [!NOTE] > Inheritance - an estate or property which a man has by descent, as heir to another, or which he may transmit to another, as his heir. #### A different approach Although the courts do not allow cases to be brought before them in which a person does not possess proper standing, this does not mean the plaintiff is without a course of action. The legal system views a person's Last Will and Testament as a contract between a grantee and an inheritor. Thus, by intentionally interfering with the outcome of the contract between the deceased and the inheritor, the defendant is liable.
