That property in particular was home to a rare and surprisingly diverse ecology. Due to it containing not one, but two natural springs that flowed into the little potato creek, the readily available source of clean running water allowed a habitat and santuary to wildlife. Not only was that property desemated, the tributaries were dammed up with out any permitting. Several thousand tons of dirt was hauled in to fill in the naturally formed ravines and hollers, which literally barried the pockets of sanctuary under tons of earth. The entire landscape of the land has been completely erased, and it was all performed illegally and completely with the condonement of corrupt county officials.
