+In 2010, we returned home to care for ailing family members who were unable to care for themselves, the years that followed were unequivocally the hardest in our lives, as we watched our family begin to slowly disappear in front of our eyes. It didn't take long until we were only left with one remaining family member, and the place our family had called home for sixty years. It was imperative for us to hold onto what little family we had left.

+Then in 2016, the same neighbor who had emptied all of our wells into a private swimming lake, managed to railroad through approval a sixty acre solar power plant down the road from our family's farm. We did our research, learned all we could, and chose to publicly oppose the construction. The officials responded with practically telling us the future of our property was less important than our neighbor making money. So we did what anyone would have done, we forced the issue, and because no on could oppose our research, the proponents of the project chose to handle the problem another way.

+The proponents, whose majority comprised of county officials, began to launch personal attacks to defame us. Then those who were not county officials had their go. At first it was mild acts of harassment, then later evolved into stalking, property vandalization, a smear campaign, and swatting our home. Then, when things began to quiet down, we knew something else was coming. What pursued were a series of coordinated and thought through events, too coincidental to have occurred by chance.

+When our neighbor disappeared and we learned the property across the street, which we had wanted to purchase for ten years, had came up for sale under suspicious circumstances we began to see what was taking place. It was the only way you legally can force someone out of the home they own, and from the neighborhood they grew up in. We were forced to watch as these people completely destroyed all the land around our home, break law after law, and develop it all into a subdivision made of cheaply made homes, on top of what was the oldest known abandoned junk yard in the county, which had remained undisturbed until this time. The corrupt local officials openly refused to enforce federal and state law, encouraging the use of illegal and environmentally harmful construction practices. Then they used a legal loophole concerning the death of a loved one as a means to avoid all accountability.

They didn't even have the courtesy to handle the mess they made of the place.
