The Haddocks bought what was several hundred acres of beautiful timber land directly across the highway from us, and put in chicken houses. We didn't mind any of it. +Our problems with Haddocks started during the ailment of our late grandmother, who passed from alzheimer. Being a care taker for her was one of the most difficult and saddest moments in our life. If you have ever care taken for an individual with alzheimer, you would know how difficult it is to get them to go to sleep at night, and sleep throughout the entire night. If they were awakened in the middle of the night, there was always the possibility of them slipping out, leaving the house, and getting lost in the woods. It is a real danger you have to look out for.

+Well, every morning around 4am someone with a aftermarket performance exhaust would get right at the intersection with highway, and when they pulled out onto the highway they would redline their engine. This was very loud, and wake up everyone in the house including my grandmother. She was unable to understand what was happening due to the dementia, would become very upset, which then became a struggle to get her back to sleep. Whoever it was, didn't have a concern for anyone else in the world. They knew they were waking up half the neighborhood drag racing into town at that hour of the morning, they obviously didn't care how it affected everyone else around them, and they didn't care if they tore up their engine doing it. It was difficult enough to see her digressing and slowly dying before our eyes, and the morning interruption meant she couldn't even get a full night of rest. It was pretty infuriating, and it created feelings of helplessness.

 Scott Mayfield is an attorney with Smith, Welch, and Webb Law associates here in Barnesville, Ga. He became acting attorney for the county prior to the beginning of our family's difficulties. Of all the real estate attorney's used by the group of property developers who target our family, one per contract, they used everyone but him. This has allowed him to avoid any conflict of interest representing both the county and the developers. He is the attorney that advised the county to ignore our complaints regarding the illegal and documented construction practices occurring on the property beside us. It is safe to assume he has also advised the county to ignore the numerous complaints we have made about the Fire Chief violating the law and neglecting his duties of office, and the zoning administrator's misrepresentation of state law.

 We do know Mayfield was employed as county attorney while also being employed as the attorney for the county waste management authority, which presented a conflict of interest when the county began to look into the finances of the waste management authority. We do know that attorneys face extremely strict standards when it comes to conflicts of interests, and that his involvement as representing both parties resulted in him being relieved of his duties by the waste authority.

 A few days later, he responded to the inquiry stating that Chief Matthews was claiming he wasn't even in the county that night. Attached to his email was an affidavit Doug had drummed up __for the wrong date__. The incident occurred on __Friday evening around 10:30pm__, but the affidavit only provided testimony to Chief Matthews' whereabouts for __Thursday evening and early Friday morning.__ There was at least __twelve hours of time completely unaccounted for__, which provided more than an abundant amount of time to return home from his Father-in-law's cabin in Upson county (__30 mins away__). Regardless, of pointing out the absolute pointlessness of the affidavit, Sean refused to process the complaint, and trashed it.
