+On Friday, July 5, 2024, a phone call was made to the Federal Bureau of Investigations general receiving hotline in order to request an investigation be made into the violations of the federal soil and water conservation act, the refusal of the local government to enforce any of the federal construction regulations, the local government corruption experienced by refusing to hold employees accountable, the manipulation of government records for personal benefit, and the falsification of a police report that resulted in a fifty-hour unlawful detainment. After waiting in queue for over twenty-five minutes a representative was reached whose concern was less than enthusiastic. Which resulted in a planned attempt to contact the local branch.

+On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, a successful phone call was made to the local branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and we were able to talk to one of the local agents there. The gentleman was polite and empathetic to what had happened to us, but informed us that the Federal Bureau of Investigations "cannot just investigate anything it wants", and declined to help us. This was in light of the fact, the FBI had recently opened an investigation into the disappearance of federal funds from the local landfill that by comparison didn't involve anywhere near the same amount of illegal activities and potentially involved a similar if not greater amount of lost public funds.

+The response to being declined an investigation was, "Well, apparently justice is reserved for the wealthy or politically connected." Which, we stand by.

+## Letters sent to representative Beth Camp
+
+We have written Representative Beth Camp two to three times regarding the local corruption witnessed. Due to her connection with Agriculture and nearby place of origin, we thought she of all would understand the gross travesty that has been done to our family. We have not received any official response from her. Although, not long after our second letter a piece about her appeared in the paper. The article discussed her dedication to Georgia's solar power industry.

+
+Representative Camp,
+We live in Barnesville, Georgia and are aware there is little anyone can do to help our situation, but felt as our representative to the Georgia General Assembly for the people of our district, you needed to be aware of what is happening to our family. It is a great travesty of justice, for which I am duty bound to correct in order to prevent it from happening to another individual. As of this moment, there is a minimum of $736,000 in state and local violations performed by two developers on two pieces of property that surround our home. The home is still held within my Grandmother's estate, so until the estate is settled, we lack standing to initiate any legal action. Therefore, we are completely reliant on the county to fulfill its duty and obligation to uphold the laws of the state of Georgia. Unfortunately, the county has formally refused to enforce both Georgia and county law, basically saying 'we are going to do what we want, and you can't do anything about it.'

+What makes this refusal so unethical, if not illegal, is there is no dispute over matters of fact. The county openly admits the developers are in violation of state and county law, and the developers themselves have admitted to possessing knowledge of their violations. The county is fully aware the Zoning Administrator aided in the continual violation of the law, misled local citizens, and openly discriminated against unfavored residents. Yet, they refuse to hold her accountable for anything. The county is aware the Fire Chief initiated the entire ordeal by illegally brokering real estate without a license in a real estate sale where a fellow firefighter was given preferential treatment Both the Chief and the firefighter greatly personally benefited from the aforementioned illegally conducted sale, both purchasing their properties for hundreds of thousands less than market value estimates.

+Now the family of that fellow firefighter is building a subdivision that began construction without any of the required permitting. They openly stalk and try to intimidate members of my family, have vandalized our property several times, and even stolen our mailbox the day before Christmas Eve with our W-2 forms inside. Last weekend they even tried to bait us into acting out, and either had deputies from the sheriff department on hold or called them preemptively. We have contacted the Magistrate court for a protection order several times, and are informed they do not provide them, we are then redirected to a service provided by a sheriff in another county. Who informs us, because they are our neighbors it would be practically impossible to acquire one. Then they suggest exactly what the antagonists want, and that is for our family to abandon the farm we have lived on since 1965. Further compounding this is the Fire Chief has used his influence with local law enforcement to make things difficult for us.

+I myself was detained in the county jail for forty eight hours for speaking out about this. I was never told what I was being detained for, nor was I told I was being detained. I was placed in solitary confinement for six hours upon entering the jail, I was kept beyond the legally allowed limit, strip searched, and denied medication for a chronic illness I have had for over a decade. Once released I discovered the police report was a complete fabrication and the sheriff department refused to investigate what was a federal offense. We have been shouted at, cursed out, shot at, our wells were drained, and our property destroyed. Now, we stand to lose the only home we have known.

+All of this is being done to us, because we publicly opposed a plan for the Fire Chief's relative to build a sixty acre solar power plant down the road from our family's farm. The solar plant was railroaded through approval by the county commissioners, and didn't even have the public notices posted as required by law. In the end, our opposition had nothing to do with the plan falling apart, as its fate was sealed by presidential order stopping importation of solar panels from china. Yet we are being persecuted for exercising our constitutional right.

+We have tried to keep all of this documented and collected evidence. We have contacted the local county news organizations, and received no response. We have contacted over twenty five attorneys, and only received three unproductive responses. We don't know what is going to happen to us, or where to go next. We just ask if you could say a few prayers for us, and do whatever you can to make sure this does not happen to someone else like us again.

+Senator Harbin,
+I have lived in XXXXXXXXXX, XXXXXXXX for all my life. Our family has been living here on the same farm since 1965. First off, just because you don't know me, I need to say my family and I are good people. We have worked hard for what little we got, and recently have entered a period where life has been rather unfair. I had dropped out of Mercer in order to take care of both my ailing mother at the time and my grandmother who had dementia. I also dropped out to help protect the farm, as the buzzards were circling the place. I was always taught that the most important thing was to take care of one's family, so at the time I thought I was doing the right thing, but the ride has been a depressing trip to nowheresville ever since. Family members started to die, aunt and cousins disappeared. Pretty soon it was just my mother, the farm, and myself. Even the farm is barely here, as my aunt is determined to sell it, and nothing could force my mother to sell it. We could have paid for it twice over if we had used the same resources that went into caring for my grandmother to purchase it, but that is another unfair part of our story.

+Our greatest troubles came from our choice to oppose the approval of a 60 acre solar power plant one parcel over from us. It was to be positioned on a hill that sloped down overlooking the headwaters of the little potato creek, which is a tributary of the flint river. The problems did not arrive during our opposition, but a year or two after it was called off due to federal restrictions on the importation of Chinese manufactured solar panels. This was when the landowner who wanted the solar power plant began to use his political ties to come after us. It all was little things at first, like calling the sheriff on us every time we stepped out of our house, or getting his friends to stalk us around town. Now it has blown into something quite serious, and personal.  We know he hired an attorney, and once he learned he couldn't sue us for exercising our rights, it is fairly apparent the two dreamed up a plan to unjustifiably come after us. Because the attorney he hired is unscrupulous, he knew something we didn't, he knew that as long as our farm remained a part of my grandmother's estate, we didn't possess enough legal standing to bring anything to trial. Which meant, we were defenseless as far as illegal development was concerned. So, they exploited us, and went after what would hurt us the most, our family's farm. This would be a means for him and his associates to profit off of illegally developing all the land surrounding our farm, cheat the taxpayer, and provide ample opportunity to destroy our home and pressure us into moving out of the county.

+His associates in the Sheriff's department have participated by applying muscle in order to squeeze us, but the most damage came from the destruction of the rural area around our home through openly acknowledged illegal building practices. The acquisition of land for this development was acquired through highly suspect means by the landowner's cousin, who is also the county fire chief. This occurred when the Chief was caught squatting on a former neighbor's land while that neighbor was quarantined with COVID, and was brokering the sale of our former neighbor's land across the street from our home. He was doing this without the backing of a real estate brokerage license, was in no way related, and received a house and some land at a severely discounted price. Once we heard of the Chief selling the land, we immediately fell suspicious over the arrangement. We wrote to the neighbor five times, never receiving a response, only to discover our letters never reached him. The Chief was involved in the sale in order to ensure we could not purchase it, and to set the stage for what followed next. For setting up this sham, the chief benefited greatly from brokering the land sale to a fellow firefighter without a real estate brokerage license. Afterwards the development itself was performed without building permits, openly violating federal environmental statutes, and by granting special exemptions to subdivision development for development plans that never should have qualified. The county authority zoning ordinance administrator has remained openly hostile, obviously dishonest, and intentionally negligible throughout the entire affair. The tax assessor, another close associate, concealed most of these exchanges and plans for development by neglecting to update the online public records for a year and a half on one occasion.

+As you could guess, the county government is completely aware of everything, informed me I could file complaints, but assured me of their disappearance and that nothing would ever come of it. The chairman of the county commission doesn't even return my emails, and is result to allow no one to ever be held accountable. We have had our property vandalized, the neighbors they installed across the street stalk us on a regular basis, our house was swatted without a warrant or anyone there, and our mailbox was stolen the day before Christmas eve. In September I was "detained" for the first time in my life, for practically no reason, with a fabricated police report. We have tried to acquire a restraining order at least three times already, and are told that because these people are our new neighbors we cannot get one.

+What I am getting at is these laws that are being violated are not local, but state and federal. There has to be some oversight authority, some options for people in similar situations. It only makes sense that counties should be responsible for upholding the laws of the state and the laws of the nation. Lawfulness and civil rights cannot just end at the county border.
+
+We are trying to get the word out about what is happening to us, which is right now the only way we know of combating it. We have contacted a few of the local news stations without a response, and we will continue contacting them in the hopes of gaining some coverage. Everything that has happened to us has been documented in one form or another, so we will be putting that online in a website. We would appreciate any help we could get, and are thankful for the time dedicated to reading this letter. I wish you all the best, and thanks for being our senator.

+For nearly everyday for a month in 2023 logs were recorded as to when our Fire Chief left for and returned from work each day. Which resulted in a work schedule that when tallied appeared to be six hours a day for four days a week, which is a 24 hour work week. 
+
+When security cameras were added to our property due to our property being vandalized and family members being stalked, what was recorded reinforced the previous observations. Although, concerned with this information we intentionally withheld addressing it at first out of fears it would make us appear biased and jaded. We have mentioned it before to all currently addressed parties, and seen no change. 
+
+Today, we witnessed the same behavior, which has remained habitual, a 10:21am departure to work. Historically, this is followed by a 3:30pm-4:00pm return home.
+
+It is needless to say that any other employer would have terminated the employment of an individual who expressed such characteristics. This is regardless of the other complaints made by myself and members of our family, such as the refusal to provide assistance in a time of crisis, abuse of public office to serve private interests, use of office to personally profit, use of county equipment for personal use, distributing financially beneficial favors to subordinates for political favors, and involvement in numerous affairs that pose an obvious conflict of interest to professional duties.

+So apparently, once employed by the county, not only do you not have to obey any laws or any of the ethical standards set as employment standards, but you don't even have to go in for a full day's worth of work.
+
+The fact still remains, what our family has referred to as home for over sixty years was destroyed in order to please Brian Abernathy while financially benefiting the Fire Chief and the Tylers.

 Most people in the county don't know this, which I am sure was intentional, but the county failed to renew it's broadcasting license with the FCC for operation of it's emergency services station in 2018. We have all the details downloaded directly from the FCC site, and yes there was a period of at least two weeks in december of that year when the county was operating a radio station without property licensing. Fortunately, the county was not penalized for this violation, and an extension was filed in order to request more time to submit a proper application for renewal. Would anyone like to guess who was in charge of making sure the license was renewed? It was the county Fire Chief, whose name is on the licensing.
